Joi Copeland and Free Books!

Ethan Knight, at the end of his rope caring for his deaf son, needs a miracle, and then he meets her.

Before we meet today's author, I want to announce that the winner of the free e-copy of Kimberly Rose Johnson's contemporary romance novel, Sara's Gift, is:

jthauge@...

Congratulations! We'll get your book right out to you. I encourage readers to keep commenting and/or subscribe at right (above my list of books) in order to learn about new releases! U.S. subscribers are entered in the drawings a second time when they comment.

And now let's chat with novelist Joi Copeland, author of the romantic women's novella, Silent Knight (Forget Me Not Romances/Winged Publications, July 2019).

Joi Copeland is married to a wonderful man, Chris, and has three amazing boys, Garrison, Gage, and Gavin. She lives in Denver, Colorado, but within the year, hopes to be living in Galway, Ireland.

Joi’s love of writing began at a young age. She wrote short stories for several years, and in 2009, she began writing her first novel, Hope for Tomorrow.

Please tell us one random thing we might not know about you.

God called me and my family to the mission field in 2014. We are almost ready to leave the country!

To Galway! Very exciting! Many blessings with that, Joi. You'll have to keep us apprised of your progress there.

You do look like an Irish lass, by the way.

Please tell us a bit more about the plot of Silent Knight.

Struggling to take care of his deaf son in a town with no resources, Ethan Knight’s at the end of his rope. When his son is kicked out of preschool, he feels he’s out of options and prays for a miracle. A newcomer to Snow Globe, Montana may be his answer to prayer, or is it the possibility of an old love?

London Meriwether leaves her home after the passing of her grandmother, the woman who raised her. She falls in love with Snow Globe, Montana. Right after arriving to the small town, she comes face to face with learning what it means to truly forgive someone.

Can Ethan help London in her quest of forgiveness? Will London be the help Ethan needs for his deaf son?

What is it about Ethan Knight that will make your readers care about him?

Ethan Knight is a caring father who loves his son and wants the best for him. He knows he can’t help his son on his own, though. Throughout the story, the reader will see just how much he adores his son. I think this really helps them connect to Ethan. (At least it made my editor swoon!) 😊

Imagine you’re waiting at the gate for your flight somewhere. You see someone sitting there, reading your latest release. What expression do you hope you see on his/her face?

I hope I’d see a face full of hope. Maybe her hand over her heart. 😊

What is the last novel you read that you would recommend?

I’m reading Finding Love in Eureka, California by Angela Ruth Strong. It’s from a great series, and it captures you from the beginning!

What are you working on now?

As much as I love writing, I’ve stopped for the rest of the year so I can focus on my website, marketing, and getting my newsletter built up. I miss writing so much, and I’ve only stopped for a month! So, marketing has been my priority.

To me Christmas looks like all my family together attending the Christmas Eve service at church, then going home to celebrate the real reason for Christmas. Having a birthday party for Jesus!

Looking forward to seeing my youngest son, who lives out of state. It will be the last time I get to see him & meet his new wife before he's deployed overseas.

Loved this interview!

My ultimate Christmas could be one of a few things, but the core is the same: my entire family gathered in one place to celebrate! 1. we take over a ski lodge with snow and fireplaces and board games. 2. we all go on a cruise to the Caribbean so we can wear bathing suits at Christmas! 3. we all go to my parents' on the Oregon coast to wear heavy sweaters and coats at the beach!

My ideal Christmas is going to the Candlelight service on Christmas Eve and having all the family gather on Christmas day. A light dusting of snow would be perfection.
