Unforgettable Ebook Release and Free Books!

I'm celebrating the ebook release of my historical novel, Unforgettable, by giving away a copy!

Here's a brief synopsis of the book:

Rachel Stanhope tries to see the good in everyone. But even her good graces are challenged when she meets cocky reporter Josh Reegan outside her Arlington, Virginia dance studio on a brisk fall morning in 1951.

Their paths cross, between Arlington and New York, between the melodrama of ballroom antics and the real drama of political corruption, between family involvement and romantic entanglement. The last thing either of them expects is mutual need and support. But once they stop dancing around the truth, the results are unforgettable.

And this is the button to purchase the ebook:

In order to enter next week's drawing for a free copy of my book, answer this question. This book is set in the early 1950s. If it were part of a series, what would you consider a good time frame for a second book in the series and why?

And be sure to check out my interview below, with Pat Jeanne Davis, author of the historical inspirational romance novel, When Valleys Bloom Again. We'll also have a drawing for subscribers and/or readers who answer Pat's question at the bottom of her interview.

To enter either or both of the drawings, leave a comment and your email below in answer to my question, above and Pat's, below. "Please enter me" won't get you entered. Remember that U.S. subscribers are entered an additional time in each drawing. The drawing is done by email, so leave your email address, like so: trish[at]trishperry[dot]com.

Only United States residents are eligible for the drawing, but anyone can subscribe to the blog posts via the GDPA-compliant Feedblitz box above my list of books, at right.

Also readers, I'd love it if you'd connect with me on Facebook. Just click on my name at the right of today's post title.

Annoying legal disclaimer: drawings void where prohibited; open only to U.S. residents; the odds of winning depend upon the number of participants. See full disclaimer, GDPA notice, and my Disclosure of Material Connection HERE

I think a second novel in the series should follow the timeline. Possibly the early 60s and incorporate some of the political aspects of that time, sideline-mentioning the killing of President Kennedy, etc.

Having grown up in Arlington,VA, during the 50's and 69's, I was very excited to read about this book and will purchase if I do not win a copy. I agree with Gail H. to follow the time line. I was in high school when it was announced over the PA system that JFK had been shot. I remember how I was stunned and saddened and the tears that ran down my face. Lots of history to mull through.

I agree that the next book should follow the timeline of the early 60’s. I was a pre- teen during this time and love to read about the era. This looks like a very interesting book.

I too agree that the next decade, the 60s, would be a good next book in a series. So much history happened in that decade. Times changed enormously and I think it would be a good read. Things that come to mind are: politics, space travel, rock ‘n’ roll, hippies, etc. I can imagine the struggles that could take place for young adults being impressionable at that age.

I love that idea! I'll give it serious thought! I'd still love to hear any other thoughts anyone else might have, so keep 'em coming! Gilda and Paula, if you check back here, do leave a fractured email address in case you win the drawing, so I can get the book to you!

Trish, Congrats on your release.

For the second book I would suggest staying in the 1950's. Depending on how many books you are planning in the series, a slow progression would be great.

Since this one takes place in 1951, I think you're right, Caryl, that a slow progression would be a good idea. The country went through a lot of changes in that decade.
