I'm Giving Away My Books!

After we do today's book give-away, I'm going to feature next week's give-aways of two of my books that are now available in ebook format:

Together By Design
and
Beach Dreams

But first I want to announce that the winner of the free copy of A Love Most Worthy, by Sandra Ardoin, is:

aliciabhaney@...

Congratulations! We'll get your book right out to you. I encourage readers to keep commenting and/or subscribe at right (above my list of books) in order to learn about new releases! U.S. subscribers are entered in the drawings a second time when they comment.

And now let's look at next week's give-aways.

Together By Design will be featured as a possible read for the new Forget Me Not Book Club, so for the month of March, Forget Me Not Romances is selling the book for only 99 cents. Here's the blurb about the story:

Elena Tafani is in control of almost every aspect of her life. But getting arrested is only the first in a number of experiences that throw her summer completely off kilter. She may know how to stage a home to show it at its best, but her life isn’t showing quite as well. There’s her runaway niece, her hard-bitten sister, her over-indulgent parents, and her judgmental clients. Then there’s Chaz, the best friend for whom she’s developing very confusing feelings. What’s a good rule follower supposed to do?

Beach Dreams was initially released in paperback several years ago, but we just released it in e-book format. To celebrate, I'm giving away a free copy. If you happen to have read my books, The Guy I'm Not Dating and Too Good to Be True, you'll be familiar with the hero and heroine, Tiffany LeBoeuf and Jeremy Beckett. This is their story, and here the back cover copy:

“So, what do I do? Just give up? Avoid him? Stop brushing my teeth and wearing deodorant? He’s so sweet. And when he says something in that cute accent and looks at me with those long-lashed blue eyes and those dimples and that cleft thingy in his chin, and have you noticed how perfect his nose is?”

Tiffany LeBoeuf has a problem. She has lost her job, her mother has recently passed away, and she has zero social life. And then she meets Jeremy Beckett. But Tiff is a new Christian and knows she shouldn’t be attracted to this unbelieving (but charming!) Brit.

And then there’s Eve….Jeremy’s girlfriend. When Tiffany reserves a cozy beach house in San Diego for a much needed retreat, a mix-up causes a double booking, and Tiffany ends up sharing the beach house with Eve. When Jeremy arrives to surprise Eve, he surprises Tiffany, as well.

As Jeremy settles in at the beach house next door, events and secrets unravel that surprise everyone.

Trish Perry’s Beach Dreams tells the touching and humorous story about how God uses even our mistakes to bring about His divine purposes.

Of course, both books are available on online purchase via the following buttons:

If you'd like to be entered for the drawings for these two books, please leave your answer to the following question.

Simply because of my current living situation, I'm finding I'm doing more of my reading via e-books and audio books, since all of my paperbacks and hardcovers are packed away in storage. Sigh, I miss them. What about you? What format do you lean toward, and why?

To enter, leave a comment and your email below in answer to my question, above. "Please enter me" won't get you entered. Remember that U.S. subscribers are entered an additional time in each drawing. The drawing is done by email, so leave your email address, like so: trish[at]trishperry[dot]com.

Only United States residents are eligible for the drawing, but anyone can subscribe to the blog posts via the GDPA-compliant Feedblitz box above my list of books, at right.

Also readers, I'd love it if you'd connect with me on Facebook. Just click on my name at the right of today's post title.

Remember, if you'd like information on additional new releases, check out Christian Book Heaven, an email newsletter for Christian book deals in whatever genres you select. You can subscribe here: ChristianBookHeaven

Annoying legal disclaimer: drawings void where prohibited; open only to U.S. residents; the odds of winning depend upon the number of participants. See full disclaimer, GDPA notice, and my Disclosure of Material Connection HERE

I love to read real books as easier for note taking and most not as heavy as my kindle which I use when traveling so as not to carry so many with me. E.searcy@comcast.net

I prefer print books and I have no idea why. Maybe because it’s easier to share with my friends. Or maybe it’s the smell and feel of a paper book. I don’t know, I just know that electronic books don’t have quite the thrill.

I tend to lean toward paper books because I like the feel of a book in my hands, I like turning the pages and I love the great covers that so many books have. I guess I am putting my senses into action with feel and sight! Thank you for this opportunity!

I am a person who loves to hold a book in my hands to read. I have read ebooks and heard audio books but prefer a REAL book.

I usually choose paperback because after I read and review them I donate them to my church library or my public library.

I really love the deal of a paperback in my hands, but the readers are so much easier to use at night. I can purchase books quicker with my Amazon account and that is easier for me. In the summer I try to have paperback on hand for outside reading.

I love real books for nonfiction since I highlight and add sticky notes throughout. For fiction, my Kindle books are fine. I read on my phone and my Fire. But if a novel has a gorgeous, artistic cover, then I often buy both formats. And when I know the author, I am more inclined to buy both.

The other day I had to get something from my storage unit and was SO tempted to bring one of my many boxes of books back to the house with me. As many of you are saying, there's just something about holding that book in your hands while you read! I may start bringing home one box at a time and just working my way through it. So I'll read a lot of books by authors whose last name begins with A, B, or C, and then those whose names begin with D, E, and F, and so on, lol.

Call me old-fashioned but I prefer a "real" book in my hands.
There was no such thing as e-books when I was growing up.

I like both. I like to save my special ones on my real shelf. But I find I can read more if I also read on my kindle. I often have two books going in hopefully two different genres so I don’t get them mixed up. paulams49ATsbcglobalDOTnet
