Merry Christmas Give-Aways!

I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and I want to warm someone up for the holidays by giving them the brand new e-version of my romantic beach comedy, Sunset Beach.

But first, I want to announce that the winner of the free e-copy of The Plum Blooms in Winter, by Linda Thompson, is subscriber:

caseym.writer@...

Congratulations! We'll get your book right out to you. I encourage readers to keep commenting and/or subscribe at right (above my list of books) in order to learn about new releases! U.S. subscribers are entered in the drawings a second time when they comment.

Here's a bit of information about the plot of Sunset Beach:

Sonny Miller, a recent college graduate with plans to get her master’s degree in psychology, intends to resolve some family drama and put her academic interests to the test. She cleverly invites her mother, Teresa, and her mother’s estranged twin, Aunt Melanie, to a quiet and quirky San Diego beach house. They both show up...and with surprises of their own. Teresa, a successful classical singer, brings her latest protégé, Irina, and Melanie brings along secrets about Teresa and the identity of Sonny’s long-gone father.

The strong personalities cause some big waves, and Sonny is in over her head. Soon she is drawn to Irina and Irina’s charming brother, Grigori. Her faith is strengthened by their story of being adopted as children from a Russian orphanage by a Christian couple from America.

Readers will love being a guest alongside these characters. Between each sunrise and sunset is another day for healing, laughter, rediscovering the importance of family, and embracing the hope of God’s care.

The e-book can be purchased online via the following button:

To enter in the drawing for the free copy, leave a comment and your email below in answer to my question in the next paragraph. "Please enter me" won't get you entered. Remember that U.S. subscribers are entered an additional time in each drawing. The drawing is done by email, and I notify the winner by email, so leave your address like so: trish[at]trishperry[dot]com.

My question? What is one thing that stresses you about the Christmas holidays, and one of the things you most look forward to? (For me, the frigid winter weather used to be the one nerve-wracking thing. But moving to California took care of that! And the thing I most look forward to is gathering with family, which my move to California kind of messed up--now we'll be celebrating after the holidays so everyone can come back from traveling to the east coast. You take the good with the bad!) What about you?

I wish you all a beautiful, blessed Christmas and a glorious New Year. See you in 2019!

Love,

Trish

I wish you a special Christmas full of love and laughter.
Ohh, this book sounds exciting.
I think one thing that stress me about the holidays is I have trouble eating right, so I gain weight. Sigh.
I think one thing that I really look forward to is being with family.

I always get sick at Christmas which stresses me out. I am sick now so I am true to form. I look forward to being with family, but not making them sick too! I also look forward to our Christmas Eve service at church which I attended tonight. That blesses me.

I always stress out because I want everything to be just wonderful for everyone and no one puts that stress on me but me! I need to just take it easy and enjoy. The best of Christmas is watching my grands faces when they see what Santa brought....oh what fun!

Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you have a blessed day and time to relax. I used to stress a lot over making Christmas the best for everyone, and recently I came to the realization that it isn't my responsibility. So I've been able to relax and just do my best to have a warm, happy place for my kids and their families to come and enjoy each other's company. We get together on Christmas Eve freeing them up to do other things Christmas Day and allowing us to visit with my parents and family on Christmas day as well. I absolutely love Christmas at church in December. I look forward to it every year. God bless you all, and happy New Year.

Having an adult child with mental health issues stress me out at the holidays because it's stressful on her. What I love about the holidays is the time spent with family. Have a blessed holiday season .

Ah, Lori S, yes, I typically gain weight during the holidays--it's no wonder people often start to diet at New Year's!

Sue, my sister used to get sick every Christmas, and I'm certain it had to do with the stress of the season. As Melanie says, we often put too much stress on ourselves to make sure everyone has a good time. But Lori91301 is right--we've certainly met our responsibility when we've done our best.

And for some, getting together with family isn't always comfortable. I agree that a Christmas Eve church service can really bring things into peaceful perspective, as do those lovable grandchildren, as Melanie says! Christmas is always more fun when we can experience it through the eyes of children.

"Unknown," my heart breaks for your child, experiencing additional stress during the holidays. I know your Mama Bear heart wants that stress to simply go away. I'm glad your family time brings you joy.

I hope you are all enjoying your Christmas Day celebrations.
