We always celebrated at my Mom and Dad's on the east coast, but they both passed away a couple of years ago. As God would have it, we all--my siblings, kids, and grandkids--ended up in California after Mom and Dad passed. Still, the kids and grandkids still have east coast family to visit at Christmas. My sibs and I managed to celebrate in San Diego last year, but the lockdown may eliminate that this year. As Allie says, 2020 is a difficult year.

But this too shall pass. Christmas remains a beautiful, memorable occasion to celebrate, regardless of how we do that!Trish Perryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14983379845476025642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6882268403920558613.post-11918169696004810542020-11-10T18:35:21.367-05:002020-11-10T18:35:21.367-05:00Christmas breakfasts always create such memories! ...Christmas breakfasts always create such memories! At home we read the Christmas story from Luke, usually eat soup from my crock pot and open gifts that night. Christmas morning is dedicated to seeing my grandkids open their gifts. My daughter makes a breakfast casserole.
tumcsec(at)gmail(dot)comGail H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07185778152672877614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6882268403920558613.post-86689202122262945592020-11-09T13:38:31.642-05:002020-11-09T13:38:31.642-05:00This is the first year I will not be actively invo...This is the first year I will not be actively involved in our Sunday School Christmas presentation in addition to not being able to visit with extended family (probably) so it is a year of transition. But celebrating the birth of our Savior does not depend on situations or people. If no one else can visit, I will celebrate with my husband, adult daughter, and church family the wonderful gift received on Christmas.
Alice
myersalicem@gmail.comAlicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11272990517354711352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6882268403920558613.post-35500920503637953632020-11-09T12:27:10.709-05:002020-11-09T12:27:10.709-05:00Lori, I am a big fan of audiobooks myself! We bake "nutrolls" every Christmas and usually get some of my grown boys and their families to help. I'm hoping we can do that this year in spite of the safeguards for COVID. We'll see. I know I'd enjoy reading the book "His Christmas Wish".
As for Trish's audio book, I've gotten into listening to audiobooks while I walk or drive. We have a 1 1/2 hour drive out to our son's home and often I'll lose myself in an audio book on those drives. It sure helps the time go faster.
Thank you!
lorigeorgehotmailLori91301https://www.blogger.com/profile/15263092800666166106noreply@blogger.com
