But first I want to announce that the winner of the signed copy of Blame it on the Mistletoe, by Joyce Magnin, is:

quzy@ . . .

Congratulations! I'll contact you today for your snail mail address, and we'll get your book to you right away. I encourage readers to keep commenting and/or subscribe at right (above my list of books) in order to participate in future book give-aways!

I'm sure we all experienced highs and lows in 2011, but right now let's celebrate the highs. Share with us just one of the things the Lord did for you in 2011. For me, that something was the news that I'm going to become a grandmother for the second time. How about you?

Also, this Thursday I'll draw a name for a signed copy of my nostalgic historical novel, Unforgettable. If you haven't yet entered that drawing, you can do so HERE.

Be sure to check out my interview with Terri Reed, below. Leave an appropriate comment at the bottom of the post about Terri to enter the drawing for a signed copy of her book.

And I'd love it if you'd connect with me on Facebook. Just click on my name at the right of today's post.

Lovely moments in 2011! I like the idea of looking back on blessings more than considering what I SHOULD do during the coming year. Yes, we need to be ever moving forward, improving ourselves, but I love hearing about what God has done in everyone's lives!

When a relative died, God brought me to realize that even difficult people deserve more than I had been willing to give. So I am trying to do better in the present.

Although this may sound materialistic, i am thankful for the bumper crop of grain the Lord blessed us with. After 5 years of drought, this was especially welcome. Another awesome blessing was that my aunt remarried (after being a widow for 6 years) and her life has turned around 180 degrees.

Though my house has been on the market for quite a long time (I was forced to do this for financial reasons), it has not sold. God has enabled me to keep paying the mortgage, even those months when it looked impossible. I am really learning to trust him even more than I thought I already did. It's very lean times, but God is faithful.
Thanks for giving away some of your books, Trish. I'd love to win a copy of "Tea for Two."

Wow, what touching comments. The loss of loved ones, years of drought, and financial struggles--and your seeing God's hand in each of those experiences. I know He loves us and I'm sure He loves our appreciating His blessings within the struggles. Thanks for sharing those thankful comments.

My husband and I work and live at Blue Grass Christian Camp. The camp was in dire financial stress last year at this time. We hired a new Camp Director and he's helped us (through God's hand) make a major rebound.
Congratulations on the new grand babies on the way.

After a couple of very difficult years, I was blessed with both a new job that I absolutely love and the opportunity to return to school. It was an exciting year, and I'm excited to see what this one has in store!

My son died the first week of June. My firstborn. I am so thankful to the Lord for the three wonderful days over Memorial Day weekend we spent together, planned five months earlier to go to our youngest daughter's first Triathlon together. What a blessed time the Lord gave us.
