The Perfect Blend and Free Books!

In just over three weeks, my next novel, The Perfect Blend, will release. Would you like to win a signed copy?

Before I tell you about that, let me tell you that the winner of the signed copy of Hometown Proposal, by Merrillee Whren, is

barn1451@ . . .

Congratulations! I'll contact you today for your snail mail address, and we'll get your book to you right away. I encourage readers to keep commenting and/or subscribe at right in order to participate in future book give-aways!

Now let me tell you about my own giveaway. On Thursday, September 2, I'll draw the names of five winners who will receive signed copies of The Perfect Blend. I'll only draw from people who leave comments below, so your chances of winning are far stronger than if I included my list of subscribers. (Hey, I love my subscribers, but if they're not actually reading my posts, sometimes they miss out--what can I say?) All you have to do is comment below on your favorite type of tea.

Here's what the book is about:

Steph Vandergrift left everything to elope with Middleburg attorney Rick Manfred, who then stood her up at the altar. Too embarrassed to return home, Steph hopes to earn enough to get by until she can decide what to do next. Tea Shop owner Milly Jewel hires her and appreciates the extra help at the tea shop.

Also appreciative of Steph is Kendall James, one of the kindest, most eligible bachelors in the area. But by the time Steph feels able to consider dating again, her run-away fiancé returns and tries to win her back. Steph is wary, but she and Rick always blended so well.

Christie Burnham, the frank-talking equestrian from whom Steph rents a room, and her frillier sister Liz become fast friends and confidantes to Steph. Between the two sisters, there isn't much any man is going to pull over on Middleburg's newest bachelorette and tea shop employee.

I'm looking forward to seeing who wins!

In the meantime, check out my interviews with Harry Kraus and Ramona Cecil below, and leave comments under their interviews to be entered in drawings for signed copies of their books.

Annoying legal disclaimer: drawings void where prohibited; open only to U.S. residents; the odds of winning depend upon the number of participants. See full disclaimer HERE.

My favorite type of tea? Almost any HOT herbal tea (can't drink cold "regular" tea - ugh!), but I am partial to a couple I picked up on Maui on vacation in 2009. I've reordered because I liked them so much. They are from the Hawaiian Natural Tea company in their "Pineapple Strawberry" and "Passionfruit Orange" flavors. I adore them, especially after a stressful day at work.

I really like the cover of "The Perfect Blend" - it's so comfy looking :-)

Please enter me in your drawing & blessings to you on the new book.

May I be entered, even though I do not have a favorite type of tea? It's something I just do not like very well at all.

Maybe it's just my southern roots but my favorite tea is Mint. It has a soothing effect on me, and I love the way it smells. I drink it hot all winter and grow my own all summer for fresh iced Mint tea.

Your books looks great! I would love to win a copy :)

Love your comments, everyone! Be sure to mention your favorite tea (or do as Michelle did, if you don't like tea).

I promise you don't have to enjoy tea to enjoy the book. ;-)

Oh, I love tea shops. My mother, sisters, and I drink hot tea every day. Most of the time I drink plain Lipton loose-leaf; sometimes Irish Breakfast. If I go to the tea house in the next town over I always get Buckingham Palace tea or Yorkshire Gold.

I love almost any fruity herbal tea, but since we got a Keurig machine last winter, my favorite is Gloria Jean's Pomegranate Berry Fusion with a tablespoon or two of honey.

These are some yummy-sounding flavors! I like Chai, too. I'd like to be able to make Thai iced tea the way they do at Thai restaurants, with Chai and cream. Pretty, as well as tasty.

I haven't yet sent the manuscript for the second book in the series to the publisher. I think I'm going to go back and add some of your tea flavors to the story!

The tea shop setting is a great idea for a series. I eagerly await The Perfect Blend and appreciate the chance to win a copy.

As for my favorite tea, it's hard to beat a tall glass of plain old Lipton's iced tea with lemon. And for hot tea, I like some of the herbal tea fruit blends.

I actually don't like tea. (I know, I know) But, I've never liked it. I *LOVE* the smell, but never the taste. The only thing that is close to tea that I like is called Russian Tea. (It is basically all sugar, but it has lots of strong flavors to it.) :)

Please enter me! Can't wait to read this new series. :)

Ooh! I would love to win a copy of your upcoming release The Perfect Blend. It is already on my wish list. I have enjoyed each book of yours that I have read.

As for my favorite tea it is Twinnings Lady Grey. I also love Darjeeling. Love black tea! Have had green, white and red teas but black is still number one.

Hey Trish!
I have several types of hot teas that I like, but if I have to pick just one it would be Apple Spice tea.
And of course being a southern girl, I also LOVE a tall glass of iced sweet tea. But, I have to have extra lemon.
My husband told a waitress once, "She'd like a little tea with her lemons." ***grin***

Please enter my name in the drawing. A great book to read and it has recipes for tea sandwiches and sweets, too. OH, what more could a girl want!

I forgot about the tea ...sorry.
Never touch it.
My wife drinks tea like I drink coffee. She favors Earl Gray.
I don't know if that's a titled nobleman or a flavor, but she drinks a lot of it.
I like Folger's coffee, classic blend.

Thanks again for this opportunity to win a copy of one of your books. Being a southern gal, my favorite tea would be "Sweet Iced Tea". However, when drinking a hot tea, I really enjoy a cup of orange/lemon flavored tea(especially when I have a sore throat), very soothing.
Thanks again,

It would be sensational to win a signed copy of any of your books. I'd like that very much. My favorite tea is an old one with orange and spices called Constant Comment. I used to make it from scratch; now there are tea bags and instant tea under that name. Delicious. When I was a young new wife of an army officer, we lived in Germany, and I remember fixing that tea for all the higher officer's ladies at a tea in my home. Thank you for asking and for the chance to win your book.

Your title immediately brings to mind the aroma of freshly ground beans. I don't even have to taste the coffee -- the smell is enough to pull me in. Then I look at the title and think of my own blended family. My hubby and I each had a child from a previous marriage. Then we had two together. We blended, and it is perfect according to god's plan. Here's my entry for your hat.

Lo said...

Oops -- looked over "my favorite tea" -- I drink a fruit flavored and a green tea mix.

The cover of your new book is perfect, I look at the door to the tea room and want to enter in to see who is there and what kind of tea are they enjoying. I know I mentioned my old time favorite in another post, but I do have some newer teas that are favorites and very healthy. Green tea, Oolong, and I enjoy mixing the teas with my lo-cal strawberry/kiwi drink to add a fruity flavor to it. I do like other flavors, and treat myself to them often. Hope I didn't bore anyone with that spiel..I really just want another chance to win Trish's new book.

Congratulations, Trish!

I would really love to read one of your books, I love the cover and I know that I would love the story.

My current favorite tea is Berry Blossum White (Has blueberries in it.)But I have lots of favorites, the only ones that I don't like are the very strong ones. I love my Aunt Martha's Iced Tea. Every year, we used to gather from all over the country to a city park and have the family reunion. And each year my Aunt Martha made the delicious tea. She used to make it in a huge kettle as we had a lot of family coming. Sadly she has passed away and the reunions have
ended. People just got too spread out to come anymore. But I will always remember her wonderful tea.

I'm loving these posts about all the different tea flavors. And yes, Wendy, you can still enter--this drawing will not discriminate against non-tea drinkers. :-)

I like your reference to the blended family, LoRee. I intended the title to have double meaning. The second book's title did, as well, but we've since changed it. I'll post about that closer to the second book's release.

Looking forward to sending five signed copies of the book out in a couple of weeks!

My favorite hot tea is Lady Gray, and for iced, I make it sun-tea style by the glass with any fruit infusion tea bag. Just set it in the sun for 5 min. then add ice. I also love sweet tea made by my southern belle niece, Rena.

I realize the following isn't exactly answering your question, Trish, and fair warning: schmaltz alert. My favorite tea? Imaginary tea "brewed" with love and shared across a beautifully-set table by my five-year-old daughter, Sarah. Otis, her beloved, well-worn bear, was the other guest in attendance. He was pretty quiet. No tea ever tasted better. That was almost 16 years ago, and now Sarah loves tea a whole lot more than I do. But I'll always cherish the memory of that very special cup of tea.

Keep writing! I love your books. They're much better than tea anyday, and your book sounds charming as ever.

Blessings,
JoAnn Durgin
