Tiffany, Jeremy, Beach Dreams and Free Books!

PhotobucketWhen I interview an author, I usually ask who would play the lead roles in the movie version of her novel. In the past I've shared the same information about my first two books (The Guy I'm Not Dating and Too Good to Be True). Today I'm going to do that again, with Beach Dreams, and give the book away.

Before I show you my characters, I'd like to announce that the winner of Cara Putman's novel, Stars in the Night, is:

jackie.smith@ . . .

Congratulations! I'll contact you today for your snail mail address, and we'll get your book to you right away.

I encourage readers to keep commenting and/or subscribe at right in order to participate in future book give-aways!

Now let me show you my movie leads for Beach Dreams.

PhotobucketThis is similar to how I pictured Tiffany LeBoeuf, the heroine of Beach Dreams. This actor is Carmen Electra, by the way, and I wouldn't have picked her for Tiffany had this been Tiffany's first book. But my readers know Tiffany wasn't a very sweet girl when she first came on the scene, and Carmen, while pretty, has the slightly hard look I wanted for Tiffany in the beginning. She softened up in time, and this is a softer version of Carmen's look, don't you think?

PhotobucketAnd this is how I pictured Jeremy Beckett, the hero of the story. The actor, of course, is Jude Law. That shouldn't surprise anyone who has read any of my first three books, since Jeremy was often likened to Jude. This picture, on the beach, just fit with the setting of Beach Dreams. Here's a closer look: Photobucket
What do you think? If you've read The Guy I'm Not Dating, Too Good to Be True, or Beach Dreams, all of which feature these two characters, I'd love to hear if these actors match what you pictured.

If you'd like to read Beach Dreams, I'm going to give away a signed copy Monday, July 12. But you have to leave a comment below, specifically about this post. I'll ignore comments that don't reference today's subject matter, in order to give the advantage to my readers. Leave your email address like so, in case you win: trish[at]trishperry[dot]com.

Check out my interviews with Ronie Kendig and Teri Wilson, below, and leave comments below their interviews to be entered in drawings for their novels. If you subscribe to my blog, at right, you'll be entered a second time and will be automatically entered into future drawings as well.

Annoying legal disclaimer: drawings void where prohibited; open only to U.S. residents; the odds of winning depend upon the number of participants.

I've read "Sunset Beach" and thoroughly loved it, but unfortunately, I've not had the chance to read "Beach Dreams", "Too Good To Be True" or "The Guy I'm Not Dating." My plans are to read "Beach Dreams" next because of how much I enjoyed "Sunset Beach." So, that said, I can't really say if your choice of movie leads fits the two characters. The picture of Jude Law on the beach gives him a look of being right at home there, Carmen Electra, I'll have to trust you.

Blessings,

Beverly

Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to read any of your books, but Jude Law would be great as a hero in any book....he's definitely a hunk!

I would love to be entered into your contest to win Beach Dreams. Thank you for the opportunity.

Smiles & Blessings,

Thanks for your comments so far, ladies! I agree--Jude Law is quite a cutie. My character Jeremy is a little better behaved, from what I gather . . . ;-)

I haven't had the chance to read these books either. I definitely think Jude Law would be a good choice for your leading man!

The review of Beach Dreams reminds me of my parents taking my best friend, Freida and I to a cabin at Long Beach on the NC coast owned by my daddy's best friend on the week of the fourth of July. Freida and I had the best time arriving at the beach and looking at the waves hitting against the sand, and the ocean beyond with the shrimp boats at a distance.

After a restful sleep, we would go with my mother to collect seashells early in the morning. We collected various, beautiful seashells, such as the Devil's Pocketbook and the Starfish shell. Then we had a tasteful breakfast of blueberry pancakes.

We swam in the ocean, sunbathed on the shore, and built sandcastles. Then after lunch, we walked to the pavilion and walked on the Yaupon Pier. Then we ate at the Seafood Restaurant. After walking back to the cabin, we sat on the porch and watched the beautiful sunset. we would read Nancy Drew books and gab until we fell asleep, listening to the peaceful waves.

We enjoyed being together, playing together, and looking at God's beautiful ocean."
I am sure that this book would be a great beach read.
Thanks!

If Jude is Jeremy....man I want to know who Gabe would be. I just finished reading "The Guy I'm Not Dating" and had to look you up hoping you have more books out there. Now that I know they are the same characters oh I can't wait till I get to the next one. I don't believe I have ever been drawn into a book as quickly and laughed so hard (my son went to my room to check on me lol).

thank you for using God's gift to you ~holli mom4bajr[at]yahoo[dot]com

Holli, here's the page address for when I posted pictures of Kara and Gabe. I actually pictured Gabe a little less angular in the face, but these pics are pretty close:

Thanks for the opportunity to enter to win Beach Dreams.. I love water so I am sure I will love your book with the beach setting.
