Now let's have Margaret Daley reintroduce herself to us.

Margaret Daley is an award winning, multi-published author in the romance genre. One of her romantic suspense books, Hearts on the Line, won the American Christian Fiction Writers' Book of the Year Contest. Recently she has won the Holt Medallion, Golden Quill Contest, FHL's Inspirational Readers' Choice Contest, Winter Rose Contest, and the Barclay Gold Contest. She wrote for various secular publishers before the Lord led her to the Christian romance market. She currently writes inspirational romance and romantic suspense books for the Steeple Hill Love Inspired lines. She has sold sixty-six books to date.

Margaret is currently the Volunteer Officer for ACFW. She was one of the founding members of the first ACFW local chapter, WIN in Oklahoma. She served as vice-president for two years in WIN-ACFW and is still on its board as an advisor. She has taught numerous classes for online groups, ACFW and RWA chapters. She enjoys mentoring other authors.

Please tell us a bit more about the plots of your two recent releases.

Cowboy Protector:
Two years ago, Hannah Williams left the Witness Protection Program--and she's been running ever since. To stay ahead of the mob, she changes her name and location constantly. So when she takes a job caring for a Montana rancher's sick daughter, she expects to leave soon. But little Misty Taylor tugs at Hannah's heartstrings--and so does her handsome father. Hannah knows Austin Taylor suspects she's keeping secrets. But how can she tell him the truth without endangering the pair she's come to love?

Love Lessons:
Homeschooling his daughter is new to devoted single father Ian Ferguson. To ensure his child gets a good education, the busy CPA hires a temporary tutor. Twenty-three-year-old college student Alexa Michaels is too young--and too pretty--to be right for the job. Yet his daughter is coming out of her shell and learning. Still, Ian is traditional, and sweet Alexa--who graduated from the school of hard knocks--is challenging some of his old-school ways. Can this dad learn some valuable lessons about love, family and faith from the least likely teacher?

Which character in your novels most interested you while you wrote?

In Cowboy Protector, Hannah Williams most interested me because I can't imagine what it would be like to have to give up your love ones and go into the Witness Protection Program and then end up on the run, never being able to stay long in any one place, afraid to trust a sole.

Why will readers enjoy your novels?

In Cowboy Protector, it is a suspenseful read with a lot of action and drama.

In Love Lessons, it is about a man who has to learn to love again and the heroine who teaches him how.

If you were the casting director for the film version of your novel, who would play your lead roles?

Cowboy Protector: Sam Worthington and Keira Knightly.

How many points of view do you typically use in a novel? If you vary, what have you found you enjoyed the most?

I usually have two sometimes three POVs in my stories. Actually I like that number since I write romances. The third POV is sometimes a child, a key secondary character or the villain.

What subject matter or era have you not yet published about (but would love to)?

Medieval times--I'm fascinated by that time in history.

Oh, yes, me too. I have such respect for such authors for all the research they have to do to make those stories ring true.


What is the last book you read that moved you?

Chasing Lilacsby Carla Stewart (out in May this year) is a moving story about a young girl and some of life lessons she has to learn in the 1950s. It reminded me of To Kill a Mockingbird. Wonderfully written.

What are you working on now?

Christmas Bodyguard, the first in The Guardians, Inc. series for Love Inspired Suspense, is about a group of female bodyguards.
