West Texas Rescue volunteer Alison Stone has risen out of the ashes more times than anyone knows, but now that her heart is in need of rescue, will anyone be there for her? Before we meet today's novelist, I'd like to announce that the winner of the drawing for Judy Duarte's novel, The House on Sugar Plum Lane, is:

And now let's meet novelist Mae Nunn, author of Her Forever Family. I don't have a full interview with Mae today, but she was able to share brief information about herself and her latest novel.
Mae Nunn grew up in Houston and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas in Austin. When she hung up her spurs Mae met Michael, a transplanted Englishman living in Atlanta and Mae hung up her spurs to become a southern belle. When she began working on her first novel a dozen years ago Mae promised her mother not to write anything that would be offensive. Once again, God interceded because He wanted Mae's stories to be much more than simply acceptable. He wanted them to be pleasing in His sight. Surrendering to the call on her writing, Mae's promise to her mother evolved into a much larger mission to glorify God with her work.
Since 2003 Mae has sold eight Love Inspired novels and in September of 2008 she was blessed to be able to retire after thirty years in the air express industry and is now a full time writer! When asked how Mae feels about being a published author in the Christian fiction market she summed it up by simply saying "Yeeeee Ha!"
Here's how Mae describes the plot of Her Forever Family:
Widowed father Ben Lamar isn't an expert on parenthood. Especially when it comes to helping his teenage son with special needs. So when a caring child psychologist offers to work with the boy, Ben is relieved. Until he discovers that Alison Stone's ideas are very different from his. Granted, his son is responding very well to treatment. But the lovely doctor is asking way too much of a hardheaded guy like Ben. Such as opening his mind and heart to new possibilities . . . like love and a forever family.
